Loves for Winter 2012!!!!

Argh that horrid season is at it again, and in 2012, it has the nerve to creep in early!!! Tempting us to warm, calorie-filled hot foods so we can buffer the cold. Well there goes my weightless "resolution" for this year. I'm "thick" sistah with an ATM (African Trade Mark) of note....plus I figure my future-boyfriend will appreciate the extra cushion, right? Right!

I love quirky, interesting and unusual finds. I came across REcreate a couple of years ago I thought it was an absolutely fabulous of course!!!! They’ve expended their product line and have some fabulous services like personalized gifts, collectable items, renovating and decorating

Like I mentioned in my last post, upcycling is my new obsession, REcreate takes it to a whole new level, and nothing beats raising the bar. Check out some of there wears....

New Loves for 2012

The word of the day is "UPCYCLING"!!!!!!! Simply defined in Wikipedia as "the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value". This is now my new found passion, although i haven"t quote converted anything as yet, so many items have been made into gorgeous pieces in my head...will post once I've started.

my new 2012 loves....

It's been a minute and a half since I posted something but I found something worth sharing...one of my favourite artists!!!!! Okay so I've love this work for years but I only recently found the name of the artist....shocking, I know!

I present Francoise Nielly

Francoise Nielly is just amazing!!! Her work is vibrant with a CAPITAL V!!! Loud and expressive. Bold and fearless colours in her close up portraits....*sigh* The works speaks volumes. The only word I ccan use to describe her work is ALIVE

Out and about doing the usual errands at the store and I came across this very hip young thang. This young lady aroused such interest that I just had to stop her and take a picture of her hair. I love how we creative souls are finding new way of beautifying ourselves. 

The more creative the better.

I found her hairdo very err...refreshing
